Kom ons praat SOP

Ek weet dit is nog somer, maar PM het my nou lus gemaak om oor sop te kom gesels.  PM, kom vertel ons asb van jou sop en gee asb die resep?

Wat is jou gunsteling sop en het jy enige resepte om te kom deel?

I do not make soup from any recipe - I just add to the pot whatever I think would taste good.

I do have a few favourites -

pea and ham
bean with smoked turkey but any smoked meat would be great and there must be garlic and chilly to taste present
thick vegetable soup with a little garlic and chilli with lots of soup meat and celery
barly soup
caldo verde - its Portuguese and my spelling might be wrong but there is chourizo in and cabbage and potato

Ek hou netso van ertjie en ham sop, veral met lekker varsgebakte brood en botter.

'n Sop resep wat ek mal oor is en vries klein bakkies vol vir dae wat jy lus raak vir die smaak, is mince en bacon sop.

1 pakkie mince
1 pakkie spek
1 groot ui
1 blikkie baked beans in tamatie sous
2 pakkies oxtail sop pakkies

Dis so maklik soos braai al die bestanddele en dan voeg jy die sop by met water.  Kook verder vir nog so 20 minute en siedaar!  Jy het dan die lekkerste vleiserigste sop wat heerlik werk met rys of lekker vars rolletjies.

oh dearie me - I forgot about french onion soup and butternut soup although i've never made either of the two. your mince and bacon soup sounds quite lekker and it seems to be a fast meal. If you think it would be nice over rice, how about having it over mealie pap?

O ja, botterskorsie sop!  Heerlik! Ek is lief vir die soeterige smaak van die pampoen en dan die sout van gekrummelde feta kaas bo-oor.

My mince sop is so lekker, ek het dit al gemaak en gebruik as gravy vir ander disse, so ja, ek dink dit kan heerlik wees saam mielie pap ook.  Jy kan selfs 'n pastei van dit maak, deur net een pakkie sop te gebruik en dan 'n lagie deeg oor sit en in die oond.  Soos 'n mince pastei.

Die volgende wat ek wil probeer met hierdie mince pastei is om souskluitjies by te sit.  Ek soek my net half dood aan 'n lekker en maklike souskluitjie resep.   :dontknow:

I guess you only wish to have a dumpling recipe - here is a recipe for dumplings and I guess you could add whatever herbs or spices you wish to it. I do not think it necessary to do the potato part but then it also would make for a very nice soup altogether.

Dumpling Soup

 Recipe by KB COUNTRYGIRL 

"My mom always made this soup on washday as it was quick to make and very satisfying. It's still a favorite today for lunch. Pepper may be added at the table. Serve with fresh bread and butter. This is a very hearty soup, if served as supper, it is a complete meal."

Original recipe makes 6 servingsChange Servings



1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour


1 teaspoon baking powder


1 teaspoon salt


1 tablespoon vegetable oil


1 egg


3/4 cup water, or as needed

6 mediumpotatoes - peeled and cubed


1 teaspoon salt


8 cups water


2 tablespoons butter or margarine


4 ounces sliced bacon, diced


1 largeonion, chopped
Directions


1.In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder and salt. Crack the egg into a measuring cup, and add enough water to equal 1 cup. Whisk with a fork. Gradually stir the egg-water and oil into the flour mixture with the fork until a soft dough is formed. Use your hands to mix the dough until is smooth and no longer sticky, adding more flour or water as needed. Cover the bowl, and set aside until the potatoes are ready.
2.Place potatoes in a large pot with the salt and water, and bring to a boil. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes, until potatoes are tender.
3.Meanwhile, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon and onion; cook and stir until onions are golden and bacon is cooked. Set aside.
4.When the potatoes are cooked, pinch off small pieces of the dough, and drop them into the boiling potato water. Turning the dough in your hand will help keep it from sticking to your fingers. Once all of the dumplings have been added, you can stir in the bacon and onions. Ladle some of the water from the soup into the skillet, and swish it around to clean out all of the tasty bits and juices. Pour back into the soup. Turn off the soup, and let stand for a few minutes before serving.

Ja, dit klink nou na die resep waarna ek verlang.  Ek sal defnitief die aartappel bysit, ek dink dit gee net daai ekstra smaak wat defnitief nodig is.  Baie dankie Jeannedarc!!!  Ek gaan dit maak en kom fotos laai.

Ek moet ook byse, toe ek oorgewig was, het ek vir my 'n groot pot mince sop gemaak (sonder die spek) en in klein bakkies gevries.  Ek het in die oggend 'n klein bakkie yogurt gehad, middagete was 'n slaai en aandete was die klein bakkie sop.  Jy kan maklik en vinnig gewig verloor as jy 'n soliede bord kos vir aandete omruil met 'n sop.

Nog 'n sop waarvoor ek lief is, is hoender en sampioen roomsop.  Wanneer ek moeg geraak het vir die vleis sop, het ek die hoender een gemaak en nogsteeds gewig verloor.

Hier is die resep:

4 hoenderborsies, in klein blokkies gesny
1 groot ui, fyngekap
1 wortel, gerasper
1 pakkie gesnyde sampioene
1 hoender stock cube
1 bakkie mascarpone roomkaas
sout en peper

Braai eers die ui en wortel tot sag, voeg dan die sampioene by en laastens die hoender.  Sit dan die stock cube by met genoeg water en kook tot die hoender sappig maar gaar is.  Vou die mascarpone by en sout en peper na smaak.

Dit klink nie na 'n dieet resep nie, maar ek moet julle vertel, as jy dieet, het jy nogsteeds vet nodig en ek het myne gekry deur kaas.

Ek glo vas 'n dieet moet nie 'n straf wees nie en ons moet nogsteeds lekker kan eet.  As jy die sop in 'n blender sit, is dit nog beter.

nou dis nou 'n waar woord - and the soup looks delish. I basically enjoy any soup except tomato.

Ons was nie gisteraand lus om groot te kook nie toe maak ons sommer tamatiesop (ongelukkig die uit die pakkies uit) met vars brood.  Maar jy kan hom lekker opkikker deur worchestire sous en sout en peper by te sit.  O, en moet nie die feta kaas vergeet nie. 

Ek gaan defnitief een van die dae 'n tuisgemaakte tamatiesop probeer, ek dink dit is net baie beter as die pakkies sop.

Maar ja, nie baie mense hou van tamatiesop nie.

Ek het nou heerlik gekuier hier tussen julle soplyne.  Kos is darem 'n "lekker" onderwerp, net jammer dit maak my altyd lus om te eet.   :icon_biggrin:

Wag laat ek gou my mosselsopresep gaan uitgrou.
