fresh fruit, cheese and sausage salad
« on: January 06, 2014, 10:23:01 AM »
this is a salad I made for Christmas day. We decided that we will not have any hot foods on the table and I did not wish to stand in front of my gas stove cooking so we decided on salads with some form of meat as an ingredient. The two salads I made:

potato salad with fresh apple, grean peas and chouriso
nectarines, apricots, apple, grapes, feta & cheddar with boerewors

After tasting the fruit salad, I am of the view that, although the boerewords is not bad, I'd rather replace the boerewors with salami or chouriso or even russian sausage.

Dit klink lekker en laat my nou dink aan die slaai wat die avo en salami in het.

Dankie Natalie, dit klink of julle 'n heerlike kersdag gehad het.   :love7:

Fransi, ek hou van daardie avo/salami-slaai.  Dit is heerlik.
Om te weet is om te verstaan.

Vrugteslaai is altyd vir my lekker saam souterige vleis.  Ek het nog nooit avo slaai met salami probeer nie maar dit klink heerlik.  Avo, salami en feta, daardie drie bestanddele is mos maatjies.
