Although most were written "anonymously", Catullus, Cicero, and Juvenal seemed to have no problem taking credit for their dabbling in the dark side.

Basies is die Lampoon dus 'n kort spottende vers (maksimum twee verse) teenoor politieke situasies/persone/omstandighede. Die rympatroon is oorgelaat aan die skrywer en opsioneel.
