paradise

Slowly through the garden paradise we stroll
in awe of its silent serenity
the musty smell of wet leaf mould
the coolness of the morning air

in a clearing we stand agasp
as through a sallow morning mist
the cliffs rise vertical to the sky
its sheer majesty clouding my eyes

for seeming endless time we stand and gaze
at this awesome spectacle through the haze
the immensity of its beauty, in words cannot be told
but in our hearts, forever, its picture we hold

There is one picture that springs to my mind... Table Mountain. For the immense beauty of this mountain I am fortunate to see daily. You have a way with words...
