ierland 2015 # 8 Londonderry
of Derry soos die mense daar van die stad praat. Dit is een van die min stede wat se oorspronklike stadsmuur steeds ongeskonde is.
Ons is die oggend weg by die B&B na 'n heerlike slaap en ontbyt.
Dit was Sondag oggend en agv die dag is die stad baie stil. Die winkels maak eers 1 uur die middag oop, als is doodstil so vroeg op Sondag oggend en ons het lekker stil strate en kan sommer by die plek parkeer waar ons moet bymekaar kom.

die sypaadjies se randstene word geverf in die kleure van die groep wat in daardie gebiede bedrywig is. Wat dit als beteken weet ek nie, kon ook nie so mooi uit maak wat die gids vertel het nie. Hyt vrek moeilike engels gepraat. op 'n kol praat hy van 'n "rudder" en later na die 3 de keer wat hy na rudder verwys kom ek agter hy praat eintlik van river,

die stad het baie geskiedenis van oorlog en daar was 'n beleg ook op 'n tyd waar die stad afgesny is dat kos nie kon inkom nie.

die stryd tussen die protestante en rooms katolieke was hier ook erg. Baie oor en weer geskiet. DIe protestante het die katolieke baie onderdruk, soos hulle het nie werk gekry nie en is nie toegelaat om in die ekonomie te deel nie, van daar die opstande.
