Amethyst

Oxygen and silicon, mother nature knows
is all it takes for quarts crystals to grow
now contaminate these
with some iron impurities
a dash of earthly radiation too
will give it a purple hue
a stone which in ancient societies
symbolised friendship, trust and piety
and if in February you were born
this would be your stone to adorn
stone of power
stone of protection
stone of wisdom
and for those more serious
the symbol of the age of Aquarius

Toe vat Elle my aan die hand en lei my terug na hierdie mooi gedig.  Dit is werklik mooi Louis.
